The percentage of U.S. crops that are genetically engineered, and a breakdown of the traits that have been added in each of the crops:

Cotton: 83%
- 18% insect-resistant
- 26% herbicide-tolerant
- 39% both

Soybean: 89%
- All herbicide-tolerant

Corn: 61%
- 25% insect-resistant
- 21% herbicide-tolerant
- 15% both

Other crops:
- Papaya: 53%, ringspot virus-resistant
- Squash: 15%, virus-resistant
- Canola: 75%, herbicide-tolerant
